Overview

Located in the heart of Milan, on Via Santa Radegonda, Spontini stands as a landmark for lovers of authentic Italian pizza. This fast-paced pizzeria delivers classic slices with a focus on quality and tradition, making it a must-visit for tourists and locals alike. Its menu is both straightforward and compelling, offering iconic dishes such as the Pizza Margherita, the signature Pizza Spontini, and comforting Italian staples like Lasagna. For dessert, the Tiramisu provides a sweet finish that echoes genuine Milanese flavors.

The pizza at Spontini is crafted with thick, soft dough that achieves a perfect balance between fluffy and satisfying. Each slice is generously portioned, recalling the essence of Italian street food—simple, hearty, and delicious. The precision of their machine-cut slices enhances both presentation and ease of eating, making it a convenient option for those on the go. Though the setting is minimalistic, with no formal seating and only high tables or stools available, this adds to its vibrant street-food charm, appealing primarily to casual diners and busy urbanites.

The location near Milan’s Duomo means Spontini benefits from high visibility and foot traffic, serving as an ideal quick stop while exploring the city’s cultural landmarks. Its pace mirrors that of a fast-food outlet: efficient and rapid service, efficient staff, yet somewhat lacking in warm hospitality. Despite this, the staff’s language skills and professionalism make the ordering process smooth and accessible to an international clientele.

One notable point of attention is the handling of food preparation tools, where some guests have observed a need for greater hygiene awareness between orders—a small but significant aspect that could elevate the overall customer experience, especially for those with dietary restrictions.

Spontini’s target audience includes pizza enthusiasts seeking flavorful, substantial slices in a no-frills environment. It appeals to those who value quality ingredients and authentic Italian recipes over a luxurious dining experience. Whether you’re craving a classic Margherita or exploring variations like the Capriciosa or Vegan Pizza, you’ll find that Spontini delivers satisfaction through taste and tradition.

In essence, Spontini embodies Milanese pizza culture in its purest form: a bustling, straightforward joint that champions local flavor, generous portions, and a fast, informal vibe—perfect for anyone eager to experience genuine Italian street food right by the city’s iconic center.

This has to be the best pizza slice in Milan (no joke, I'll recommend this place to literally everyone!) The downsides is that there is absolutely no place to sit. At this point, we could go on workouts and eat our food at the same time!! The upsides are the slices are cut by a machine so fierce that it can probably cut a banana into 10 pieces. It tastes better than all of the other somewhat expensive pizza chains nearby.

The Margherita pizza slice was absolutely delicious so fresh, flavorful, and the crust was perfect. Truly a yummy However, I was a little put off while watching them prepare the orders. I noticed they use the same pizza cutter (the rolling blade) for every single pizza without wiping or cleaning it between uses. I understand it's busy and it's only used on pizza, but for customers with allergies or dietary restrictions (like vegetarian or halal), this could be a real concern. A quick wipe with a clean cloth between pizzas would make a huge difference and show a commitment to food safety. The pizza is good enough to come back for, but I really hope they consider this small change.

The pizzas are truly delicious, made with quality ingredients, and the dough is exactly how I like it: thick, soft, and satisfying. The menu is simple but effective – and you can even customize your pizza to suit your taste, which is a big plus. However, don’t expect top-tier service. It runs like a typical fast food restaurant – quick and efficient, but lacking in warm customer interaction or attention. Still, thanks to its central location, generous portions, and great pizza taste, it’s definitely worth trying. Taste: 9/10 Service: 6/10 Location: Excellent, very close to the Duomo!

Top Italian Street Food Pizza! Every time you visit Milan, make sure to stop by Spontini for lunch or dinner — it’s a must. - The Doppia Pizza is simply one of the best pizzas you’ll ever have. - The Primavera Pizza is absolutely delicious. - The Funghi Pizza is a must-try. - The Lasagna is incredibly tasty and satisfying. Staff at the counter are friendly and the cashier speaks Italian, English, and Arabic. Service is super fast. There’s no formal dining area, just high tables with stools where you can enjoy your meal while standing.

Spontini is always a great idea whenever you are in the bustling city of milano. The quality of their pizzas never change and the indulgent delicious taste never fails, so make sure you grap a bite whenever you are around the city with many branches dotted around the city center ... we were passing by and we ended up having it for dinner and it made the rest our night delightful. I always have their anchovies, which is out of this world, with a crispy bottom and a rich cheesy core this pizza is just unbeatable for the lovers of deep dish pizza.

Spontini in Milano near the Duomo is a must-try for pizzo lovers! The flavor is super rich, cheesy, and really hits the spot. Totally worth it if you're in Milan. The only catch is the long lines during peak hours, and the seating is a bit tight, so finding a place to sit can be tricky. But honestly, even if you have to wait or just take it to go, it's still one of the best quick bites you can grab in the city.

I loved the crust and the flavorful toppings of the pizza so much that I decided to try both the anchovy and the Margherita varieties. The anchovy pizza had perfectly salted, tender fish, while the Margherita was especially memorable with its fresh basil, ripe tomatoes, and melted mozzarella. The Margherita pizza was exceptional—highly recommend!
